The Gutenbergs Hotel is situated in the very centre of Old Riga, next to the Dome Cathedral. At the same time its windows face a narrow twisted street. The hotel occupies two four-storeyed buildings connected on every floor. The main building was built at the end of the 19th century. It has 3 metres high ceilings, vast corridors with comfortable recreation areas and bronze chandeliers. The other building is much older. It was constructed in the 17th century. The Old Town of Riga - the heart of the city with its 14th century President's palace, government institutions, offices, banks, narrow pedestrian streets, ancient churches, small shops and pubs - to suit every taste.
The hotel offers accommodation in 38 rooms: Single, Double, Junior Suite and Suite. All rooms are equipped with bathtub or shower, TV, Internet access, minibar, safe for documents, hairdryer and heated floor in the bathroom. Reconstruction of all rooms was completed in 2001.
The hotel has two restaurants. On the first floor there is a romantic restaurant Gutenbergs with classical Balto-Germanic cuisine meals, wide assortment of world's famous drinks and good wine cabinet that together with silent instrumental music create warm and cozy atmosphere. There is a heated open-air summer restaurant open from April to November on the roof terrace. It offers barbecue cuisine and bar.
For conference and seminar purposes the hotel offers Johans conference hall on the 4th floor with maximum capacity of 80 people. Near the conference hall is a small terrace with a view towards the Dome Cathedral. The hall is air-conditioned and equipped with audio acoustic facilities. The price includes rent of a screen, overhead and data projector and a flip chart.
To the conference guests th hotel also offers airport transfer, city excursions accompanied by a guide and tickets to the Opera, concert and theatre performances.
