The establishment is still owned and managed by the Rogers family (generations two and three) who welcomed their first guests in 1947. Emphasis here is on traditional values and comfort coupled with an abundance of facilities and entertainment. In addition to a lobby area with lift access to the upper floors, facilities available to guests at this family-friendly beach hotel include a hairdressing salon, bar and games room, as well as a dining room, conference facilities, a laundry service and a car park. Younger guests will be able to let off some steam at the children's playground.
The hotel is set in 19 acres of sheltered wooded grounds with spectacular views of the sea and estuary with a direct footpath to one of the best beaches in the West Country. Links to the local public transport network and the railway station are close at hand and shopping venues in Exeter are about 19 km away. Exeter Airport and Plymouth Airport are some 23 km and 72 km away, while Bristol Airport and Bournemouth International are approximately 122 km and 155 km from the hotel respectively.
