The Hanza Hotel is centrally located, in a building of architectural note, and yet is totally up-to-date. It is situated in an area of Riga now full of novelty and variety, although most of the buildings date from the early 20th century. Windows of the hotel offer view over the early 19th century Church of Jesus, the tallest wooden building in Latvia. Almost as close is the Academy of Science, the most blatant stamp from the Soviet period, with its recently opened tower offering the best view over Riga. Business visitors will appreciate the easy access to many of their likely contacts as the hotel is close to the bridges across the Daugava River. The hotel's size allows to welcome both individuals and groups.
